Kansai map
Kansai is located in the center of the main island of Japan, it takes about two hours by bullet train from Tokyo. As an old capital of Japan, the history and culture has been flourished here in KANSAI. Traditional Japanese beauty spreads throughout KANSAI.
While the Kansai region is focused on the three major Japanese representative cities of Osaka, Kyoto, and Kobe, it encompasses a large area including Fukui Prefecture to the north, Mie Prefecture in the east, Wakayama Prefecture in the south, and Tokushima Prefecture in Shikoku and Tottori Prefecture to the west. For over 1,000 years until just 400 years ago, Japan’s capital was located in the Kansai region, and the history and culture that created Japan have been preserved in many places. While the Kansai region features many large cities, it is surrounded by abundant nature, sea, mountains and Japan's largest lake, Lake Biwa.
