From Imperial Palace Plaza to Tokyo Tower On the way, enjoy seeing the National Diet Building through the vehicle window. This is the center of the Japanese Government. Don't let the impressive Western-style architecture fool you- -this building is constructed almost entirely out of pure Japanese materials.

Senso-ji Temple & Nakamise Shopping Street (Free Time for Sightseeing)

Senso-ji, Tokyo's oldest temple, offers plenty to see including the bright red Kaminarimon Gate, a statue of the god of thunder, and a five-story pagoda. The bustling street known as "Nakamise" stretches for about 250 m from Kaminarimon Gate to Senso-ji Temple and is filled with a plethora of shops.
 
Kabukiza (Drive-by)
From Asakusa to Tokyo Station On the way, enjoy seeing the Kabukiza theater and Ginza through the vehicle window. A classic Japanese-style theater where traditional Kabuki performances are held.

Day 3: Tokyo - Nikko - Tokyo

Kanmangafuchi Abyss

Kanmangafuchi Abyss is a small gorge formed by an eruption of Mt. Nantai. There is a row of approximately 70 stone statues of Jizo (a Bodhisattva who is the protector of children) along the river, and legend says they mysteriously change in number each time they are counted. A botanical garden lies on the opposite side of the Jizo statues, where visitors can enjoy the scenery of the season.

*In the winter season (around December to mid-March), as it may be difficult to ensure safety due to freezing of roads to Kanmangafuchi Abyss or other reasons, the tour will be guided to Futarasan Shrine, Taiyuuin Mausoleum at Rinno-ji Temple, Tamozawa Imperial Villa, or Nikko Botanical Gardens instead.

Nikko Toshogu Shrine

A registered UNESCO World Heritage Site, this sacred place with over 400 years of history is where Ieyasu Tokugawa, the founder of the Tokugawa Shogunate, is enshrined. Enjoy seeing the traditional beauty of the main hall, as well as the sleeping cat and 3 monkey carvings.

After heading to Tobu Nikko Station by route bus, the tour ends.

The bus will head up the World Heritage Mt. Fuji 5th Station along the Subaru Line. The 5th Station is situated at 2,300 meters (7,546 feet) above sea level. At this height, you will be amazed at spectacular, breathtaking views from above the clouds.

*If the Fuji Subaru Line is closed, the tour will visit Lake Kawaguchi Oishi Park or Fujisan World Heritage Center.

Hakone Komagatake Ropeway

Take a cableway ride up to the spiritual Hakone Shrine Mototsumiya (original shrine) that nestles at the Komagatake mountaintop. Enjoy the scenery of Lake Ashi in the Hakone National Park spreading out below.

Nijo Castle

A World Heritage site. This castle was built on the orders of Tokugawa Ieyasu, the first shogun of the Tokugawa shogunate. The impressive, elaborate carvings and decors in the Ninomaru Palace are a must-see.

Kinkaku-ji Temple

A World Heritage site. The wooden architecture is covered in thin layers of pure gold and is surrounded by a beautiful pond.
 
Kyoto Imperial Palace

See the Kyoto Imperial Palace, which was used as the Emperor's residence until about 150 years ago. On days when the Kyoto Imperial Palace is closed to visitors, the tour will visit Kitano Tenmangu Shrine (disembark for sightseeing) as an alternative destination. This shrine is famous for the god of learning, and its main hall is a designated national treasure. The shrine is especially great to see during the plum blossom and autumn leaf seasons.

This Nara Period shrine is designated as a World Heritage Site. The deer of Nara Park are thought to be the shrine messengers. From 2025, the Main Sanctuary special visit area will be newly added to the itinerary. Visitors can get closer to the Main Sanctuary and view the hanging lanterns in the corridor.

Todai-ji Temple (Great Buddha) Nara Park

A World Heritage site. This is the symbol of the Nara Period and one of the world's largest wooden structures. Its huge main hall and bronze Great Buddha are impressive to behold.

Itsukushima Shrine in Miyajma

A World Heritage site. Established in the 6th century, this shrine is one of Japan's finest, and is famous for its beautiful Shinden-zukuri style structure (architecture representative of a nobles' residence in the Heian period). The contrast of the green of Mt. Misen behind the lacquered shrine pavilion and the blue of the Seto Sea is beautiful and evocative of the underwater palace of Ryugujo. Time for lunch is allotted on Miyajima. This region is known for oysters, Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki, and conger eel rice bowl, which are available at many shops on Miyajima. Customers are free to enjoy their preferred meals.

Peace Memorial Park & Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum

This large-scale park was established in 1949 after the Pacific War ended, and is visited by countless visitors as a symbol of peace. The museum within the park is an Important Cultural Property of Japan, and was built to remind future generations of the terror wrought by atomic bombs.
 
Atomic Bomb Dome
The Atomic Bomb Dome is a symbol of the disastrous atomic bombing during WWII, the first atomic bombs used in human history, and has been preserved as it was to promote peace and elimination of atomic weapons around the world.

- This tour is a combination package made up from multiple Sunrise Tours plans. - A National Government Licensed English Guide Interpreter or English-speaking assistant will accompany each tour from the meeting point until the tour end. - If the minimum number of participants (1) is not met by 14 days before the scheduled date, or due to other operational management circumstances, the tour on that date may be canceled.

- The last reception day (reservation deadline) is 14 days prior to the tour.

- If the tour is canceled, customers will be notified by the conducting company or their travel agent. - The itinerary displayed on the booking screen is the final itinerary.

- A document listing the confirmed meeting time for each day will be provided to customers after their arrival in Japan.

[Important Notes/Supplements: Regarding Airport Shuttle Service]

- If 90 minutes have passed after the flight arrival time and you were not able to meet with the assistant, the service may be canceled. Please note that in this case, refunds will not be provided. Furthermore, if for any personal reason additional charges are incurred due to extensions over the predetermined hours after meeting with the assistant at the airport, the customer may be charged at a later date.

- Porter service is not included, so please carry all your luggage on your own.

- Depending on your arriving flight, you may need to take a shuttle bus to the taxi pick-up location.

- Luggage is limited to 2 per person (strollers, etc. are counted as 1 luggage). In the case that not all of the customer's luggage can be loaded into the appointed vehicle, the customer is responsible for arranging and paying for luggage shipping or other service.

- A sedan will be provided for 1-person bookings, a minivan for 2- to 3-person bookings, and a combination of sedan and minivan accommodating the number of persons for bookings for 4 or more.

- Customers will be notified of the final day meeting time by the evening of the day prior to departure.

[Important Notes/Supplements: About Day 2 Itinerary (Tokyo Half-day Tour)]

- At Tokyo Tower, only the main observatory (150 m) will be entered. An additional admission fee is required to access the special observatory (250 m). For those interested, please pay the required charges on your own.

- Due to traffic restrictions or entry restrictions, etc. near the Imperial Palace, operation may be suspended or departure may not be possible from the designated departure location.

- The Nikko tour is a walking tour where customers will be walking for approximately 5 km. - Public transportation will be used to move around on this tour. Please note that seating is not guaranteed.

- In the winter season (around December to mid-March), as it may be difficult to ensure safety due to freezing of roads to Kanmangafuchi Abyss or other reasons, the tour will be guided to Futarasan Shrine, Taiyuuin Mausoleum at Rinno-ji Temple, Tamozawa Imperial Villa, or Nikko Botanical Gardens instead.

- While congestion is expected at the location, an audio service with which explanations from the National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter can be heard will be available.

- As there are slopes and stairs in areas around Nikko Toshogu Shrine and Kanmangafuchi Abyss, wearing shoes with good traction and clothing easy to walk in as well as using a backpack are recommended. (A distance of about 5 km will be covered.)

- As there are land leeches from April to November, please be sure to keep your legs covered. We recommend wearing thick socks that cover the ankles and bringing bug spray.

- Shoes must be removed in some areas in Toshogu Shrine. Please participate wearing shoes that are easy to put on and take off, and are comfortable to walk in.

[Important Notes/Supplements: About Day 4 Itinerary (Mt. Fuji & Hakone Tour)]

- Depending on road conditions, the tour will be guided to Mt. Fuji 4th Station or 5th Station. If the Fuji Subaru Line is closed, the tour will visit Lake Kawaguchi Oishi Park or Fujisan World Heritage Center. [Important Notes: Mt. Fuji Visitable Location & Timing Estimate] The best time to visit to reach the 5th Station is typically from late April to around November, but in winter (December to early April), it cannot be reached on most days due to reasons such as snowfall and road surface freezing. Thank you for your understanding.

- Due to weather conditions, Mt. Fuji may not be visible even from the base. However, the tour will not be canceled and refunds will not be given for this reason. - As the Lake Ashi Cruise Ship Sorakaze undergoes inspection on Wednesdays, an alternative ship will be used. The inspection day is subject to change. In addition, long-term inspection may be conducted.

- If the Lake Ashi cruise or Komagatake Ropeway cannot be boarded (when not visitable due to suspension of operation, road congestion, or conditions at other sightseeing areas), the tour will be guided to one of the following alternative destinations. (The tour will not be canceled and refunds will not be issued for this reason. ) Appare Sightseeing Boat on Lake Kawaguchi, Swan Lake Cruise Ship on Lake Yamanaka, Hakone Pirate Ship, Mt. - Depending on the season and day of the week, traffic conditions may vary, and arrival time at each location may be considerably delayed. Thank you for your understanding.

- On the day when the annual Mt. Fuji Hill Climb is held, which is usually on a weekend in June (schedule for 2025 is June 1st), the Fuji Subaru Line is closed until around 14:00. The tour will proceed on this day as well. Please note that there will be changes to the itinerary order and sightseeing locations, and the Komagatake Ropeway and Lake Ashi cruise may be changed to alternative itineraries. Furthermore, please note that refunds will not be issued in this case, and customers will not be notified separately when the schedule has been determined.

- As there are locations to be visited on this tour such as Mt. Fuji 5th Station, etc. with lower temperatures compared to Tokyo, bringing warm clothing is recommended. (Reference: Even in the daytime, temperatures may drop to 14℃ in summer and -5℃ in winter. )

[Important Notes/Supplements: About Day 5 Itinerary (Kyoto Afternoon Tour)]

- Participants will walk from the parking lot to Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine (about 15 min one-way).

[Important Notes/Supplements: About Day 6 Itinerary (1-Day Kyoto & Nara Tour)] 

- As the Kyoto Imperial Palace is closed to visitors on Mondays (or the following day if Monday is a holiday) and on days when there is an Imperial Household Agency event, the tour will visit Kitano Tenmangu Shrine instead. If the closed day falls on the 25th, the tour will visit Nishi Hongan-ji Temple.

- Nijo Castle is closed on Tuesdays in January, July, August, and December, and from Dec. 26 to Jan. 3. (Closed on the following day if Tuesday is a holiday.) If closed, Ryoan-ji Temple will be visited instead.

- Participants will walk from the parking lot to Todai-ji Temple (about 15 min one-way). Thank you for your understanding. Please inform us at the time of booking if any person in your group is using crutches or a wheelchair, or has a chronic illness that makes it difficult to walk for long distances.

- At Kasuga Taisha Shrine, the tour will also enter the Main Sanctuary special visit area. However, in case the special visit area cannot be entered due to events or operational circumstances, the Kasuga Taisha Museum or Manyo Botanical Garden will be visited instead.

- Refunds will not be issued in case the tour visits aforementioned alternative destinations.

[Important Notes/Supplements: Regarding Luggage Delivery]

- On Day 4, suitcases and other large pieces of luggage will be transported separately the following day by truck from hotels in Tokyo to hotels in Kyoto.

- For luggage transport service on the return trip, luggage will be sent separately from the Kyoto hotel accommodation on Day 7 and arrive in Tokyo the following day.

*Two articles of standard size luggage per customer will be transported.

*As delivery is the following day, please prepare an overnight package for a single night stay. (outbound trip) *A document containing details will be provided during hotel check-in.

*Luggage will arrive the following day in the evening or later, so please check on your own at the front desk after participating in the Day 5 tour.
