Visit Amanohashidate, the site of one of Japan’s three most beautiful views. Explore Ine, a traditional fishing town and its beautiful boathouses that sit right on the bay. Soak in the natural hot springs of Japan’s most popular hot spring village, Kinosaki Onsen.

Day 1: Kyoto - Amanohashidate


Depart Kyoto.
Arrive at Amanohashidate.
 
Amanohashidate is one of the three most scenic places situated in a protected bay along the coast of Northern Kyoto along with Matsushima in Miyagi and Miyajima in Hiroshima.
Enjoy walking along the picturesque sandbar known as "the bridge to heaven."
 
Suggested sightseeing spots:
 
• Chionji Temple
It is one of the three temples in Japan dedicated to the Monju Bodhisattva(Bodhisattva of Wisdom), believed that you can gain wisdom from visiting this temple.
 
• Amanohashidate Sightseeing Boat
Hop on the Amanohashidate Sightseeing Boat. Enjoy the landscape of Amanohasidate from the sea, while you are on the boat.
 
• Kasamatsu Park, Observatory
Ride a cable car to the top of Kasamatsu Park, where you can get the best view of Amanohashidate.
 
Stay at hotel in Amanohashidate.
 

Day 2: Amanohashidate - Ine - Kinosaki Onsen


Enjoy Breakfast at hotel.
In this morning, visit Inea charming fishing village on the coastal side of Kyoto.
 
Ine is famous for the wooden boathouses called 'Funaya'.
The funaya houses stand in a row around the bay creating a scenery unique to Ine town,which somehow evokes a nostalgic feeling.
 
• Ine Bay Cruise
A popular way to see the Funaya (boathouses) from the water. The boat tour explores around the beautiful scenery of the bay in about 30 minutes.
 
After sightseeing, proceed to Kinosaki Onsen.
Explore the historical town. 
 
• Strolling the onsen town
Kinosaki Onsen, one of many famed onsen towns in Japan, is situated in northern Hyogo
Prefecture. Whilst the town is small in size, it is easily accessible by foot and boasts old-fashioned charm including wispy willow trees that line the Otani river flowing through the town’s center. This becomes particularly picturesque at night when the river reflects the lighting of both the lanterns and neighboring stores. 
 
Stay at ryokan in Kinosaki Onsen.
Enjoy dinner at ryokan.

Day 3: Kinosaki Onsen - Osaka


Enjoy breakfast at ryokan. 
Take a stroll in town until your departure.
 
• Kinosaki Ropeway
The view from Mount Daishi at the top of Kinosaki Ropeway was awarded one star in the Michelin Green Guide Japan as a spectacular view.
 
• Onsen-ji Temple
A hot spring’s guardian temple in Kinosaki Onsen with rich history regarding the town’s hot spring waters.
 
• Genbudo Park & basalt caves
Genbudo Park is a national natural monument designated in 1931. The park contains five caves, which feature unique hexagonal columns of basalt rock.
 
Leave Kinosaki Onsen and head to Osaka.
