Timeline

Our first information desk was open in New York in 1913 under "Japan Tourist Bureau", and JTB USA was established in 1964 to serve business and leisure travelers in the United States. Today, we have many offices in the east and west coast of the United States including Hawaii. With over 500 locations worldwide, our customers choose us for our superior hospitality and technology, all over the world.

    Welcome society was established as Japan first organization to attract foreign visitors

    Japan Tourist Bureau(JTB) is founded

    Japan Tourist Bureau(JTB) information desk in New York

    JTB is instrumental in the evacuation of over 4000 Jews escaping from the Nazis to America via Japan in WWII

    Opened New York and Los Angeles offices
